SOLVIT is an on-line problem solving network in which EU Member States work together to solve without legal proceedings problems caused by the misapplication of Internal Market law by public authorities.
Carrying out fair elections, the preparation of the Presidency of the Council of the EU and the successful absorption of European funds are the other priorities, described by the Prime Minister in front of the caretaker government
Prime Minister Gerdzhikov commissioned the members of the caretaker government to prepare analytical reports on the situation in the ministries, including concrete ideas for resolving the identified problems, in the next two weeks. “I would like to ask that special attention be paid to public procurement – a very painful and important topic for our society.
“I call on you to dig deep into the ministries, so that an end can be put to speculations. And if there is anything that concerns you – not only bring it to light but directly hand it over to the Prosecution.” With these words, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov handed over the executive to the caretaker Prime Minister Ognyan Gerdzhikov. Borissov wished the new government success and promised help on the side of the former ministers, if requested. “We have no reason to believe that lack of success in the country is something good for a given political party,” pointed out the Prime Minister in resignation.
