The Republic of Bulgaria and the State of Palestine will cooperate in the field of primary, secondary, vocational, and higher education. Bulgarian and Palestinian students from primary and secondary schools will participate in international educational and artistic competitions. In universities in both countries student quotas will be allocated and the annual exchange of academic staff will be encouraged.
This is foreseen in a Cooperation Agreement between the respective ministries of the two countries. The document was signed by Minister of Education and Science Krasimir Valchev and Palestine Minister of Foreign Affairs Riyad Al-Maliki during the visit to Ramallah by the government delegation headed by Prime Minister Boyko Borissov.
The Cooperation Agreement between the education ministries of the two countries also provides for joint work to facilitate the procedures for mutual recognition of diplomas.
