IN A LETTER TO PRIME MINISTER BORISSOV, RUSSIAN PRIME MINISTER MEDVEDEV SENT CONGRATULATIONS ON THE OCCASSION OF THE NATIONAL HOLIDAY OF BULGARIA

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov received a congratulatory letter from the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev on the occasion of the national holiday of our country - 141 years since the Liberation of Bulgaria from Ottoman yoke.

 

"On this important day, we remember the bravery of the Russian soldiers and the Bulgarian volunteers who fought at Shipka and under Pleven for the freedom and independence of Bulgaria. Their feat will forever remain in the history of our countries," he said in a congratulatory letter to the Bulgarian Prime Minister. Dmitry Medvedev expressed confidence that the active work of the governments of Russia and Bulgaria will continue to support the strengthening of relations in the commercial, economic, and investment spheres and will create favorable conditions for the progress on projects in the field of energy, infrastructure, industry, science, and culture.

 

In the letter to the Bulgarian Prime Minister Borissov, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation also wished happiness and prosperity to the Bulgarian people.
