PRIME MINISTER BORISSOV AND THE PRIME MINISTER OF CAMBODIA DISCUSSED THE INTENSIFICATION OF BILATERAL COOPERATION

Intensification of bilateral cooperation was discussed by Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia Hun Sen in New York. The two Heads of Government talked in New York during the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

 

During the talks, Boyko Borissov and Hun Sen expressed satisfaction with the relations of traditional friendship and cooperation between Bulgaria and Cambodia. The two Prime Ministers also expressed their willingness to work for further intensification of bilateral cooperation, including by taking advantage of the opportunities created by Bulgaria's EU membership and Cambodia's ASEAN membership.

 

The two Heads of Government identified concrete steps for strengthening the partnership in priority areas. Prime Minister Boyko Borissov pointed out that there is an opportunity for a number of traditional Bulgarian products to enter the Cambodian market, including food, wine, agricultural products, cosmetics, petroleum oils, as well as products with higher added value - electronics, machinery, and medicines. According to the Prime Minister, the Bulgarian business can operate in Cambodia in a variety of sectors - the textile industry, the medical services, pharmaceuticals, the IT industry, tourism, and infrastructure.
