PRIME MINISTER BOYKO BORISSOV SPOKE WITH EUROPEAN COUNCIL PRESIDENT DONALD TUSK

The forthcoming meeting of EU and Turkish leaders in Varna is necessary for the normalization of relations between the Union and Ankara. This was discussed by the Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov at a meeting with European Council President Donald Tusk in Brussels. The two were unanimous that the talks in Varna between the European leaders and the President of Turkey is indispensable for restoring the dialogue with the Turkish state. “We need an orderly relationship with our neighbor Turkey. The dialogue with the Turkish President must be continued,” the Bulgarian Prime Minister underlined.

 

Boyko Borissov and Donald Tusk also informed each othe on their positions on current political topics in Europe, which will be discussed later at the European Council meeting today. The work until the current moment on the priorities of the Bulgarian Presidency of the EU Council is highly appreciated.
