Prime Minister Rumen Radev spoke to the NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte today. They discussed the security environment in Europe with a focus on the possible risk of acts of aggression by Iran, as alleged in foreign media.
For his part, Mark Rutte reiterated the full support and preparedness of the NATO defense forces and equipment in the region to respond and counter any threat to NATO member states. The preparedness for reliable defense was likewise demonstrated by the successful interception recently of ballistic missiles launched against Türkiye. Any armed attack on a NATO member state will be treated definitely as an armed attack on the Alliance with a response that involves all actions as arising from the North Atlantic Treaty.
