Prime Minister Kiril Petkov and World Bank President David Malpass agree on a WB meeting with the Government in Sofia

Prime Minister Kiril Petkov and World Bank President David Malpass agreed on a meeting between the international financial institution and the Government to be held in Sofia. The logistic details are to be arranged, the purpose being to promote cooperation of higher added value for Bulgaria.

 

Prime Minister Kiril Petkov visited the World Bank headquarters in Washington D.C. where he had discussions with President Malpass and with Koen Davidse, Executive Director of the Dutch Constituency, on the opportunity for the World Bank to provide technical assistance to Bulgaria to support the reforms in the country and the infrastructure, healthcare and projects under the Recovery and Resilience Plan. The war in Ukraine and the energy sector likewise featured prominent in the meeting of Kiril Petkov with David Malpass and Koen Davidse.

 

In Washington, the Bulgarian Prime Minister met, among others, with Daniel Twining, President of the International Republican Institute (IRI).
